Vocal warmups

A gentle 2:50 routine to prepare your voice before you record. Never push past comfort.

  1. 1

    Relax & breathe · 30s

Stand tall, drop your shoulders. Breathe low into your belly for a few slow cycles to settle in.

  2. 2

    Lip trills · 30s

Blow air through loosely closed lips to make them flap, sliding gently up and down. Releases lip and breath tension.

  3. 3

    Humming sweep · 30s

Hum "mmm" comfortably, then slide from your lowest easy note up to the highest and back. Wakes up resonance without strain.

  4. 4

    Vowel sirens · 30s

On "oo" or "ee", glide slowly from low to high and down again, like a siren. Connects your registers smoothly.

  5. 5

    Jaw & tongue release · 20s

Drop the jaw, massage the cheeks, and circle the tongue. Loosens the articulators.

  6. 6

    Gentle scale · 30s

Sing a simple 5-note scale up and down softly. Never push past comfort — keep it easy.
